Research Interests
Large mammals will primarily rely on behavioral flexibility to cope with the rapid environmental change predicted to occur over the next century. I study how underlying physiological mechanisms constrain wildlife’s responses to increasingly fragmented habitats, rising temperatures, and more frequent and extreme weather events and how individual behaviors in light of new environmental contexts impact fitness and scale up to shape population growth and community composition.
