At Princeton, Qingyu focuses his research on decarbonization policies in the U.S. power sector/market. Using optimization-based power system models, he asks and addresses two sets of questions: what policies can cost-effectively and robustly reduce carbon emissions? And how should the power sector respond to these potential policies? Qingyu received his Ph.D. and M.S. at the Department of Geography and Environmental Engineering, Johns Hopkins University. He received his bachelor’s degree at Sun Yat-sen University, China.
