My research focuses on how we can plan for a decarbonized energy system that is resilient to things like climate change and extreme events, and equitable so that people from all walks of life can participate in the energy transition. I am specifically working on how we can improve planning processes used by electric utilities and policymakers, so that these processes can include modern changes such as climate change. I accomplish my research mainly through computer modeling with optimization models.
