Research Interests
The role of oceanic circulation in determining the strength of the biological carbon pump and atmospheric pCO2; large scale iron fertilization as a method of sequestering carbon in the deep ocean, using both general circulation models and simple box models. Fertilizing different areas of the ocean with iron can result in very different drawdowns of atmospheric CO2 despite similar increases in biological production.
